| Born in Salem, Massachusetts, Luke Temple is an alumnus of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. While living in New York, making a living by painting murals in wealthy New Yorkers' apartments, he released a four song self-titled EP and was signed to Mill Pond Records in Seattle, Washington. In February 2009 Temple released a collection of new recordings under the name Here We Go Magic. His first release under his own name in several years, Don't Act Like You Don't Care was written and recorded around the same time that he was recording the first Here We Go Magic tracks. |

| SELECTED PRESS |
"...His high-pitched voice recalls a young Graham Nash by way of Elliott Smith......has enough understated soul to give Connor Oberst a run for his money."
– Rolling Stone |
"Mr. Temple isn't part of any particular school — not even that all-purpose new songwriters' catchall, freak-folk — and his private world is fascinating."
– New York Times |
“Temple's various gifts amplify each other.”
– Pitchfork |
"Recalls Jeff Buckley's drama, M. Ward's atmospherics, and Feist's sense of play."
– The Onion |
"His voice alone is so damn good -- one of the prettiest voices in all of indie rock, hands down."
– Ben Gibbard, Death Cab For Cutie |
"Temple is a brilliant storyteller and gracious with such higher order arrangement skills as to make these sonnets of dubious consequence feel light."
– Daytrotter |
"...sounding like an odd collaboration between Radiohead and Bjork...the little bits and pieces are quite amazing."
– The Fader |
"...they're just beautiful images, delivered in that pure, peerless crystal-clear tenor."
– Pop Matters |
"Luke Temple has one of the most beautiful voices in pop music."
– Sufjan Stevens |
"Temple’s dreamscape lyrics, playful instrumentation and warm, ethereal tenor deftly nudge the would-be boundaries of the singer-songwriter tag."
